2017’s Workshop:
NMAP was very pleased to host the 8th Avian Protection workshop at the Crown Plaza Hotel in February of 2017. The workshop included presentations on the latest regulatory developments, best management practices for mitigation, and local issues of emerging interest in addition to the Avian Power Line Interaction Committee Avian Interaction Committee (APLIC) Short Course. APLIC (www.aplic.org) is a national organization dedicated to providing leadership within electric utility industry in the protection of avian resources while enhancing reliable energy delivery. APLIC consist of industry biologists from over 30+ utilities, the Rural Utilities Service, Electric Power Research Institute, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
